We brought the slow mornings , the four o’clock teashop and the unhurried warmth of the atolls to a quiet street in Kuala Lumpur.

From the atolls
to Bangsar.

Fenda brings the Maldivian breakfast table to Kuala Lumpur: mas huni torn into warm roshi, a pot of sweet tea, and nobody in a hurry. We cook it the island way, with the same small rituals.

  1. 01Tuna, the island way

Line-caught skipjack, smoked and sun-dried in small batches for our mas huni and gulha.

  2. 02Coconut, every morning

Grated by hand before we open. It goes into the mas huni, the curries and the bondi bai.

  3. 03Tea, poured until you stop us

Sai is brewed strong, sweetened the island way and refilled without asking.

Four o’clock is sacred.
